June 7 ~ Sunday

Woke up to an iguana who had escaped from his cage and was lounging on the back of the couch.
I put him in the window and he was happy.
This morning Jeff and I watched Blazing Saddles. I had never seen it all the way through before.
Most of the afternoon was spent relaxing and with me working on putting together some little girl clothing lots. I watched an Elvira hosted movie called "They from beyond Space". Terrible, but it was supposed to be.
We had the good fortune of being granted another loan from Paypal of $4000. We just paid off our old loan and this could not have come at a better time.
We went out to the market and bought some groceries then came home and I made Mac & Cheese for dinner.
We continued watching Orphan Black and I had some ice cream for dessert.

June 5 ~ Friday

Early this morning (4 AM) we started having thunderstorms.
It was wonderful. I love hearing the rain and the thunder.
Today I listed jewelry and sold some of it right away.
It rained (with Thunder) on and off.
Katherine had gone to the park to visit with a neighborhood friend so Jeff came with me to the post office and then we got gas and went to Safeway. It started raining pretty good after that and I took some nice pictures of a beautiful arcing rainbow.
Jeff, Katherine and I (Jeffrey was playing online with friends) sat and watched part of the movie Deep Blue (about the ocean) and it was so interesting. The windows were open and a nice cool breeze was blowing in and it was lightening in the distance which was nice.
Tonight we continued watching and catching up on Orphan Black. We're still in Season 1.

May 22 ~ Friday

Today was Damons graduation from Kindergarten:

May 21 ~ Thursday

Today Katherine and I made it to one Dollar Day at the closer Goodwill.
I bought a few things then we went to Walmart to pick up some packing stuff for Jeff then home.
I listed some Pokemon cels, Jeff packed and shipped and later on we watched "Kick Ass" a movie that was more enjoyable than I expected.
The kids went to the park for awhile then in the evening we all went outside and worked on cleaning up the weeds in the backyard.
When they weren't complaining about how hard it was, they had a good time.
The weather is really nice tonight, nice warm breeze.
Tonight we watched The Returned.

May 17 ~ Sunday

On this anniversary of the Mt Helen's Eruption, I give you this picture I took from the plane on the way home from Seattle last week.

 

 

May 10 ~ Sunday

Spent this Mother's Day relaxing and watching TV.
Jeff and I watched 2 or 3 episodes of a BBC Origins of Science Fiction show which included aliens and Time Travel.
Then we watched Terminator 3, Rise of the Machines.
Talked to Sarah, Em and Alex on the phone. Chris came by last night and brought me a mini rose plant.

May 6 ~ Wednesday

This morning we woke up, Em made coffee then she and Candice headed off to school.
Jeff and I sat around relaxing and watching Netflix.
After they got home and we ate lunch we headed out to Olympia and drove around and looked at the beautiful surroundings.
When we got back we had dinner and then played Apples to Apples (the trendy version) and then watched a comedy special with Russell Brand, A Messiah Complex.
It was a lot of fun.
Off to bed!

May 5 ~ Tuesday

Off to Washington today!
We drove out to the airport early, found the parking lot we had a discount for and went through security with no problems.
We got a row to ourselves on the first flight to San Jose, then didn't have to get off the plane and after moving closer to the front while they unloaded and reloaded passengers we got a row to ourselves again.
I started reading Notorious Nineteen with Stephanie Plum. I haven't read these books in years and I was SO glad to get started again.
We got to Seattle without incident and Em and Candice picked us and we went back to their apartment.
As soon as we got there we had to turn around and head out again because Em had an "open mic" night at a little coffee shop nearby.
We had a great time. We got hot chocolates (which were SO good) and it started raining while we were inside sitting by the fireplace and then it started hailing.
Em sang 3 songs and I loved them all, especially the first one.
We went back the apartment afterwards and we sat around and talked for awhile before we all went to bed.

April 25 ~ Saturday

Today we took it easy after all the activity of the past few days.
I listed some things and the kids did a bunch of school work they missed while we were gone.
We watched some Next Generation then Die Hard with a Vengeance.
I went with Katherine to Walmart for groceries.
Tonight we watched Elementary.
Now as I'm sitting here typing, it is raining a nice steady rain and my window is open and it smells and feels great!

April 24 ~ Friday

This morning after we checked out of the room, we ate at the Silver Seven buffet again for breakfast.
Then we drove over to the Mirage to see Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
It was fun to see the beautiful lions and tigers, but we all felt bad that they were such small enclosures.
The kids especially liked the dolphins.
Each kids bought a souvenir with the leftover money grandma gave them.
Jeffrey got a stuffed tiger and Katherine got a bracelet with a tiger on it.
We sat in the shade for awhile and just enjoyed the really nice whether before heading over the CPK for lunch where we all ordered Tostada Pizzas
Once that we were done we dropped grandma back off at her car and headed home.
Jeff and I both took turns at driving and we finally made it home around 7.

April 23 ~ Thursday

This morning we went to the Silver Seven for their Breakfast Buffet.
Then we headed of over the LINQ to see their Famous Auto Collection.
That was really great. My foot and knee hurt so I had to sit out the last part.
Then it was off the Excalibur where Grandma gave the kids some money to play in the arcade.
Each one of them won a small stuffed animal (Katherine won a Minion actually).
Then we went upstairs to Buca di Beppo where his mom had a comp and we all got spaghetti and soup or salad. After that we went back to the hotel where both Jeff and I took a nap and the kids visited with grandma for a while.
After we woke up, Jeff and I went downstairs and had a wonderful Chinese meal at the small restaurant off the lobby. We brought back leftovers and both kids ate and enjoyed them.
We watched some more House Hunters, went down to moms room and visited her then came back and watched 2 Rehab Addicts until it was bedtime.

April 22 ~ Wednesday

We drove to Las Vegas today after stopping by Chris' to drop off the key so he could feed Iggy and check on the cats while we're gone.
We stopped part way at McDonald's for some cheeseburgers. Half way there we traded places and I drove for awhile.
We arrived around 3 PM and met his mom at the Palace Station where we are staying.
We checked in then went to the buffet for dinner.
We went back to the room and the kids went to theirs and his mom went to hers (she is staying there with us so she can visit).
We watched a few House Hunters and Property Brothers then watched a really great PBS on the Hubble Telescope before turning out the light.

April 12 ~ Sunday

I spent most of the morning listing old keys.
Hopefully they will bring in a good haul.
In between computer rounds, I watched The Brady Bunch movie with Jeff & Katherine and then a few episodes of Love it or List it.
Building on the 3 hours mini series of Battlestar Galactica, Jeff started Katherine watching Season 1 of the show. They watched a couple of episodes then Kat and I went to Walmart to pick up groceries then home so she could watch another 4 or 5 episodes.
After that was done, Jeff and I watched the end of I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, a funny Blacksploitation movie from the 80's.
We ate pizza for dinner then watched the season finale of Helix.
